Can we have our wedding ceremony without obtaining a Marriage License?
Yes, often couples want to exchange vows without filing for a marriage license. Another reason could be a vow renewal and the couple is already legally married. During our consultation, I will go over the legalities and answer your specific questions.
Can we be married with our feet in ocean water, or lake, water?
Yes, I can officiate your wedding while you both are wading in the water or just near the ocean or lake. As long as you have the proper permit to be in any special locations. Click Here for more information.
Do we need a permit to have our wedding ceremony on the beach?
The answer is no for the beaches on the Grand Strand. However, some of the area's beaches do have limitations. We can discuss this during our consultation.
How long will our ceremony last?
The answer depends on your comfort level with the length of the ceremony. Often couples want their ceremony short and sweet, while others want their ceremony with more readings or rituals. There is no right or wrong answer. This is your dream day wedding and will be tailored to your specific needs. Although, the average ceremony lasts about 10-15 minutes. We will consult and figure out your just right ceremony.
How should we dress for a beach wedding?
The answer is a simple: Wear whatever you want or dreamed up for your special day! You can be in formal wear, in flip flops, or in business casual. This is your day and your choice of attire.
What will you, the officiant, be wearing?
It is very hot in South Carolina, so I will mostly be in an appropriate dress. I will never wear a white dress on your day. During our consultation, we can discuss the colors, or formality of my dress. Although, I am an early childhood teacher, so if you need me in a Hawaiian shirt, or a Halloween costume, I am willing to get creative!
Do you, the officiant, provide wedding decorations?
You will be in charge of all the decorations. I will arrive at your desired location 15 minutes prior to the ceremony.
Do you, the officiant, provide the candles, sand, or any of the other ceremonial ritual items used during the ceremony?
Couples will be in charge of all items for the rituals during the ceremony. I will perform the rituals with you, but will not obtain the items.
What are the fees?

I will stay about 15 minutes after the ceremony to sign the marriage certificate, give one to you, and take any pictures you might want of us. Then, it is your time to enjoy yourself as newlyweds!
What type of wedding ceremonies do you perform?
